Garden of Eden

Bible Reading: Genesis 2:4-9

Memory Verse: Genesis 1:31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good.”

Devo:

If you could create your own world, what would it look like? Would you invent new animals and weird fruits? God created everything just by his words.  “Let there be light,” and light existed.  He created a perfect world with nothing bad in it.

When God made people, He did something special.  He created the first man from the ground in his image. He breathed into the shape he made and Adam became a living person.  God and Adam had a close friendship as the Creator and the Creation.

As God ruled the universe, Adam would rule over the earth. In Eden, there was no crime, no sickness or sadness. God made a perfect world without sin and death.

God gave Adam one rule.  “Don’t eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. ”  He could eat from any tree but that one.

Adam was born into a perfect world, God’s creation.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, thank you for the beautiful world that you created.  Thank you for your great care for us. Help me to honor you and be faithful in all you’ve given. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
